Alex Pete Wolfe
Funeral services for former Seminole
County resident, Alex (Alec) Pete Wolfe were Tuesday, Dec. 23 at the Stout-Phillips F/H Chapel with Rev. Mike Harjo and Ted Underwood officiating. A prayer service was held on Monday evening, also at the Stout-Phillips F/H Chapel. Interment followed the services at the family cemetery, north of Seminole.The Honor Guard was the Seminole Nation Honor Guard.
Wolfe, currently of Shawnee, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at the age of 54 in the Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born Nov, 1, 1949, to Johnson and Georgia Harjo Day.
He attended Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, where he graduated with the Class of 1967.
He worked for Headstart and the Carl Albert Hospital in Ada until 1996.
Wolfe was a member of the Gar Creek Ceremonial Grounds and also served in the United States Marines Corp. He was a disabled Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his father, Johnson Day; one uncle, Raymond Wolfe; and two aunts, Sally Harjo and JoAnna R. Harjo,
Survivors include his mother, Georgia Day of Shawnee; four children, Alex Michelle Wolfe of Muskogee, Daniel Lee Wolfe of the home, Mark (Svk) Wolfe and Peter J. Wolfe (Seq. Cls. '89), both of Earlsboro, two granddaughters; two sisters Mary Ann Wolfe of Oklahoma City and Virginia Bowlegs of Guthrie; one brother Willie Bowlegs of Irving, Texas; and two aunts, Joanna Jones and Suzie Jones, both of Konawa..
Pallbearers were the Gar Creek Ceremonial Groundsmen.
