Wake services for native Seminole County resident, LaNore "Honka" Wise are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home New Chapel.
She died July 26, 2003, at the age of 46 in her home in Shawnee.
She was born May 18, 1957, in Wewoka to Henry Leroy ‘Skeeter’ and Fannie Tiger Harjo.
She attended Sequoyah High School (Class of 1975) and also O.S.U. Okmulgee Tech receiving her associate degree.
She was a member of the Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church and was employed by Rods Cleaners in Oklahoma City.
She is survived by her mother, Fannie Harjo of Shawnee; one daughter, Morning Star Jumper of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; one brother, Herschel Wise (Seq. Class of 1981) of Seminole; four sisters, Leona Wise Kernell (Seq. Soph. 1974) and Leatrice Wise LookingGlass (Seq. Freshman 1974) of Oklahoma City, Letha Wise of Shawnee and Lou Ann Wise Blanchard (Seq. Class of 1979) of Norman; two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Leroy "Skeeeter’ Wise; one sister, Lorene Wise; grandparents, Johnny and Emma Tiger and one uncle, Kenneth Tiger.
Pallbearers will be Jarrell Wise, Darren Kernell, Anthony Tiger, Nakoa Wise, Curtis Harjo and Emmain Spain.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Derrick Jumper and Kenna Fields.
Flower girls will be Rickita Jumper, Makaylia Wise, Louanna Fields, Emily Fixico and Martha Holata.
Wake services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
She will be taken to the Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Revs. Steve Holata and Houston Tiger will officiate the service.
Interment will follow at Tiger Family Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
