SAND SRINGS, OK -- Tommy Thompson , 57, of Sand Springs went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 13, 2013 at home. Tommy was born on December 19, 1955 in Talihina, OK to Jeremiah Clark and Bernice Bessie (Franklin) Thompson.
He was a graduate of Sequoyah High School, Class of 1974, where he played football and basketball and attended Haskell Indian Nations, Lawrence, KS., where he earned a Graphic Arts Degree.
He was a delivery driver for Scott Rice. He pow-wow danced, liked cars, camping, native arts, his brother-in-laws bead work and spending time with his family and friends. He had three dogs he loved very much and O.U. was his favorite football team.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeremiah Clark Thompson and Bernice Bessie Franklin; brother, Jeremiah Clark Thompson, Jr.; and wife, Glenda Thompson.
He leaves behind a brother, Herman Carol Thompson of Bristow; sisters: Levetta Thompson Sago (Seq.Soph.'65) of Glenpool, LorettaThompson Perigo (Seq.Cls'67) of Tulsa, Mitch and Janie Thompson Rice (Seq.Cls'72) of Tulsa, Ronnie and Elsie Lena of Sapulpa, Mark and Sandra Langley of Ponca City; he had 8 nephews and 10 nieces; 25 great-nieces and nephews who he loved all dearly; and numerous friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Smith Funeral Chapel, 1208 S. Main St., Sapulpa, OK.
