  MUSKOGEE, Ok -- Funeral services for Vacilio Eugene Terronez , (Seq. Staff 1980s-90s), 84, of Fort Gibson, OK, will be held
at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Joseph
Catholic Church in Muskogee with Father Basil Keenan
officiating. Sons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will
be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery.Vacilio was born June 14, 1931 at Perry, OK, the son of Geronimo and Lupe (Aquilar) Terronez and died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Claremore. During the Korean Conflict he served his country in the U. S. Army. In 1954 he married Ruth Fields in Muskogee, OK. Prior to retirement, Vacilio was an educator and coach. He taught spanish and coached jr varsity football and basket ball at Sequoyah High School , 1988 to 1996. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth of the home; six children, Vacilio Eugene “Gene” Terronez and wife, Pam, of Denton, TX, Bruce Anthony Terronez and wife, Rhonda, of Depew, OK, Ruth Kateri Massingill and husband, Ralph, of Aubany, Kentucky, Karen Kaye Hunt of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Kevin Kris Terronez of Stillwater, OK, Jon Kyle Terronez and wife, Christie, of Chandler, OK; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Terronez of Wichita, KS, Leonard Terronez of Oklahoma City; and sister, Pauline Bruce of Tulsa. |
