OKMULGEE, Ok -- Jeanette Ruth Tecumseh Washington , (Seq. Soph. 1966), a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the age of 63. She was born January 3, 1950 to Isreal and Wisey (Scott) Tecumseh in Claremore, Oklahoma.
She retired from Whitlock Packaging in Muskogee, Ok. In 2003, she co-founded Akasama Ministries located in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where she ministered and preached regularly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Nero Tecumseh (Seq. Fresh. '62) and Willis Tecumseh (Seq. Cls '66) .

Cetto-Mekko Tecumseh (Seq. Cls '99) of Okmulgee, OK. 21 Grandchildren 1 Great-Grandchild,
Siblings: Ramsey Tecumseh (Seq. 11th '66) and Denise Tecumseh of Winterhaven, CA, Rev. July Tecumseh (Seq. Cls '73) and Norma Byrd Tecumseh (Seq. Cls.'72) of Muskogee, OK, Eldean Tecumseh (Seq. 10th-72) of Clewiston, FL, Katherine Tecumseh (Seq. 10th '72) of Okmulgee, OK , Pastor Paul Tecumseh (Seq. Cls '77) and Marianne Tecumseh Sr. of Bixby, OK, Emma (Tecumseh) and Joe Dominguez of Dallas, TX and Isabell Tecumseh (Seq. 10th '79) of Morris, OK. Numerous nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
Wake Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Concharty United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Concharty United Methodist Church with Pastor Mitchell Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Tecumseh Family Cemetery in Okmulgee.
Pallbearers will be Yv-hv-etv Moses Tecumseh, Paul Tecumseh, Jr., Jeremy Tecumseh, Ryan Jones, Theodore Olea Jr. and Joe (JoJo) Martel Jr.
