Services for  Jason “Jake” Neil Ross  (Seq. Class of 1989), 28, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel.  Officiating will be Pastor Gary Leach.  Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Salazar, Jeff Scott, Will Gregory, Carlin Oyebi, Bryce Mouse, and Jimmy Daugherty.  Honorary pallbearers are Chris Bryce and Joe Deerinwater.  Interment will follow in the family cemetery under the care of Green County Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com

Jason was born Oct. 24, 1971, in Tahlequah, the son of Nancy (Livers) and Charlie Ross.  He died in Tulsa on March 19, 2010.

Jason grew up in the Wauhilau community of Adair County.  He loved to lift weights and exercise.  He liked OU football, as well as many sports, and was team captain for many company teams at Baldor Electric Company where he worked as a machinist.  Jason also enjoyed singing at pow-wows and singing karaoke.  Jason liked old cars and trucks, enjoying trading and tinkering with them.

Preceding Jason in death are his grandparents, Nancy Christie and Herbert Livers, and a cousin Erica Christie.

Jason is survived by his son, Dustin Neil Jones  (Seq. Cls '09), of Tahlequah; mother, Nancy Oyebi and Patrick, of Stilwell; granddaughter, Cloe Holmes-Jones; father, Charlie Ross and Sue, of Stilwell; brother, Duke Oyebi of Lawton; aunt, Frankie Langley, of Westville; uncle, Michael Christie, of Tahlequah; several half-brothers and sisters; a very special friend and cousin, Jeffrey Salazar; and his Maltese, Maggie.
