Forman Ross -
                Seq.Class of 1953     KENWOOD, OK  -- Forman Ross (Seq.Class of 1953) , 84, of Kenwood, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on December 8, 1934 in Kenwood; the son of Joseph and Tacky (Wickliffe) Ross.

    Forman faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1955 until 1982, serving in the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Emma Lou Proctor (Seq.Class of 1960) on August 11, 1961 in Reno, Nevada.

    Forman served as a school board member for Kenwood Public School and for Sequoyah Schools in Tahlequah for many years. He enjoyed fishing, trapping, tending to his vegetable garden, and spending time with his family. He was active in his community and loved to help people all he could. He was also a member of the Salina American Legion and the Locust Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who leaves behind many wonderful memories for his family and friends to cherish.

    Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 30 in the Kenwood Gymnasium with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Burial followed in the Euwasha Cemetery with Danny Crittenden, David Nichols, Dan Ballou, Kent Grigsby, Robert Scott and William Sharp serving as casket bearers. A Visitation was held Tuesday, October 29 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Tacky Ross; wife, Emma Lou Proctor Ross; daughter, Nancy Ross Petty; sister, Maxine Ross Bark Tucker; grandson, Kevin Ross; and great grandson, Jayton Ross.

    Forman is survived by his daughter, Karen Ross of Salina, Oklahoma; sons, Buddy Ross of Salina, Oklahoma and Eddy Ross of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brother, Woodrow Ross of Salina, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.
