Services for  Jennie Quinton  , 93, of Tahlequah, will be 2 p.m., Tuesday Nov. 21, 2006 in Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as pall bearers are Mark Quinton, Mike Osburn, Mark Quinton II, Richard Osburn, Ricky Quinton, and Bobby Joe Quinton.

     Officiating will be Rev. John Lee of Park Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Towie Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

     Jennie was born (1913) in Cherokee County the daughter of Jeff and Waiter (Miller) Towie near the river where she was raised until she went to  Sequoyah Training School.  She wed in 1929, in Tahlequah, to Felix Quinton. Jennie enjoyed sewing, fishing, and traveling.

     Preceding Jennie in death are her parents, her husband Rev. Felix Quinton; two sons Felix Jr. “Sonny Boy”, and Noah Quinton; sisters Susie Thornton, Louise Pritchet, and Geneva Wilson; brothers Alex Towie and Jess Towie as well as a couple of infant siblings.

     Jennie is survived by her daughters Naomi Richert of Shady Shores, Texas, and Ruth Osburn of Tahlequah; her sister Katie Wacoche, grandchildren Georgene Alizadeh (Moen), Kim Osburn, Mark Quinton, Ricky Quinton, Mike Osburn, Richard Osburn, Margaret Quinton, and Bobby Joe Quinton; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
