Emma  Lou  Proctor  Ross
Sequoyah  High School ~ Student 1950s

     KENWOOD, Ok --  Emma Lou Proctor Ross  of  Kenwood, Okla., a homemaker and member of Euwasha Baptist Church, died Feb. 1, 2008. She was 66.

     Emma Lou attended high school at Sequoyah Vocational School in Tahlequah, Okla., graduating with the Class of 1960. Emma Lou married Forman Ross , also a Seq. Voc. School graduate (Class of 1955) .

Emma enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and cooking.

   She and Forman, a career military family, lived in California, North Carolina, Germany and Texas before returning in 1982, to make their home in Salina, Okla.

SERVICES: Held Thursday Feb. 5th at Kenwood Gymnasium, under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service.  The Rev. Lewis Ross and Rev. Chester Crittenden officiated. Interment followed at Euwasha Cemetery.

BORN: Dec. 11, 1941 to Columbus and Susie Redbird Proctor in Kenwood, Okla.

DIED:  Feb. 1, 2008 in Muskogee, Okla.

SURVIVORS:  Husband, Forman Ross of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Kimberly Ross of Jay, and Eddy and Willie Ross of Tahlequah; two daughters and a son-in-law, Karen  Ross of Tahlequah and Nancy and Ronald Petty of South Bend, Ind., and eight grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jayton Ross; one grandson, Kevin Ross; four brothers, and two sisters.
