WALTERBORO, SC -- Andrew Mouse , (Seq. Class of 1953), 78, of Walterboro, South Carolina, husband of Bobbie Schurlknight Smith Mouse, died Friday, January 7, 2011, at Veteran's Victory House, Walterboro.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Jay, OK. (tentatively June 12, 2011). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Veteran's Victory House, 2461 Sidneys Road, Walterboro, SC 29488.
Mr. Mouse was born March 10, 1932, in Jay, OK, son of the late Hominy Mouse and Sallie O'Field Mouse.
Andrew attended Sequoyah Vocational School in Tahlequah during the 1940s; 7th grade in 1947 and graduated with the Class of 1953. He proudly served in the United States Army for eighteen years which included two tours in Korea, and also was the captain of the Berlin Bears Army football team. He retired from Union Steel Company, Dallas, TX as a supervisor.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife, Bobbie, are one son, Gerald Mouse (Kim) of Dallas, TX, two stepsons, Jack Schurlknight (Beth) of Moncks Corner and Randall Schurlknight (Tina) of St. Stephen, three stepdaughters; Pamela Gaskins (George) of Huger, Robin Brawley (David) of Moncks Corner, and Alice Ann Chaplin (Wayne) of Ravenel, one grandson, Joshua Mouse of Dallas, ten step grandchildren, ten step great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
