Johnny Micco 1964     WELEETKA, Ok -- John Hempsey Micco, Jr. died Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his home in Weleetka. Born October 19, 1946 at Medical Arts Hospital in Wewoka, Oklahoma, the son of the late Hempsey Micco and Mattie Looney Micco.

    Johnny was baptized on August 15, 1998 and received his certificate of ordination as deacon on August 6, 2006. He was an active member of Hutche Chuppa Indian Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He loved his job working for the Lord. He also attended Sequoyah High School (Seq.Class of 1964) in Tahlequah where he graduated and then the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas.

    Johnny leaves behind five loving sisters, Inna Mae "Annie" Micco (Seq.Class of 1955), Sarah Micco (Seq.Class of 1958), Nelly Micco (Seq.Grd school 1950s), and Rainey Micco (Seq.Junior 1970) and Beverly Rae Looney. Also three brothers, Tommy Dale Fisher, and Charles and Barton Joe Looney.

Services will be held at the Hutche Chuppa Indian Baptist church on May 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

Pall bearers are: Sam Whitlow, Steve Randall, Wilbert Lowe, Curtis Scott, Lewis Tulsa, and Skip Foster.

Honorary Pall Bearers: Donnie Bevenue (Seq.Class of 1964), Butch Powell (Seq.Class of 1964), Jim Burley, Robert Taylor, Mike Jefferson, Tom Chapo, Watie Wacoche (Seq.Student 1950s), and Don Morgan (Seq.Class of 1965).
