![]() Anna devoted her life to serving others. Through her work at Sequoyah Indian High School in Tahlequah, she assisted numerous children throughout her 32 years of service until her retirement. She loved each child and enjoyed giving her of time, knowledge and resources to assist them. After her retirement, she enjoyed sewing and doing art and crafts at the Indian Community Center. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. She was a member of the Yeager Methodist Church. She loved her family and spending time with them. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband George, and siblings Sammy Thomas, Betty Miller, Jinky Thomas, Lorene Thomas, and Lucille Thomas. Anna is survived by her children Tommy Deere, Susan Deere, Sandy Deere and Michael Lowe, grandchildren Crystal Hayley, Edward Ellis, Michael Deere, Andrew Ellis Jr., Candice Deere, Ashley Ellis, Ares Lowe and Alexander Lowe. Great-grandchildren Lauren Neugin, James Neugin, Sereniti Ellis, Leilani Ellis, Jayden Ellis, Bella Ellis, Aliyah Ellis, brother Adam Thomas, sister-in-law Janice Lowe as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service was held on January 9, 2018 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville. The service was officiated by Pastor Dave Dunson of Weleetka Methodist Church. Interment followed at the Yeager Cemetery in Yeager, OK. |
