                1983     OKEMAH, Ok -- Funeral services for Buddy Ray Lindsey , were held Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Nuyaka Church near Okemah. Interment followed at the Harjo Cemetery. Wake services were Sunday at the Nuyaka Church.

    Buddy Ray Lindsey was born August 8, 1965 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Alex Lindsey and Amy Hill. He passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Okemah at the age of 48.

    Buddy was a Class of 1983 graduate of Sequoyah High School. He worked as tree trimmer and landscaping for many years. He enjoyed playing ball and watching OU football and Sequoyah football.

    He is preceded in death by his father, Alex Lindsey; one sister, Lucy Lindsey Tiger; brother, Thomas Watson; one niece, Thomasena Watson; four nephews, Donnie Lindsey, Anthony Watson, Timothy Tiger and Bobby Tiger; grandmothers, Melissa Wacoche, Susie Hill and Mary Hill and grandfathers, Buddy Lindsey and Jack Hill.

    Survivors include his mother, Amy Hill of Okemah; one son, Hanson Lindsey of Okemah; three daughters, Michelle Harrison of Sapulpa, Rachel Ornelas of Okemah and Sheena Marie of Tulsa; three brothers, Boone Watson of Tulsa, Rocky “Chebonnie” Lindsey of Sapulpa and Sandy Watson of Bartlesville; 11 sisters, Ann Lindsey of Sapulpa, Katherine Powell of Okemah, Delores Watson of Sapulpa, Susie Deo of Henryetta, Jackie Scott of Tecumseh, Amy Lou Hill of Okemah, Gee Bee Ratliff of Glenpool, Liza Lindsey of Okmulgee, Della Jackson of Okemah, Roberta Lindsey of Ada and Tumissha Lindsey of Henryetta; one aunt, Leola Hill of Cromwell; great-aunt, Mandi Hill of Okemah; uncles, Danny Lindsey, Chapman Hill, Josie Hill, Jacob Hill, and Billy Hill and several nieces and nephews.

    Serving as active pallbearers will be Michael Flynn, Chris Flynn, Johnny Powell Jr., Adam Hill, Alex Bear Wacoche and Calvin Hill.

    Honorary bearers include Frank Lindsey, Taylor Yahola, Samuel Flynn, Rick Powell, Stephan Powell and Tristan Lindsey.

    Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Rev. Kenneth Cooper and Rev. Wilson Hicks.
