 HENRYETTA, Ok -- Funeral services for Robert "Bobby" Dean Jennings ,
(Seq. Freshman 1964)
, a longtime resident of Okmulgee, passed from this life on Tuesday,
July 23, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 62. Bobby was born on
April 11, 1951 in Weleetka, Oklahoma.
Bobby grew up in the Okmulgee, OK area. He later attended Seneca School and then Sequoyah High School
in Tahlequah . Following his high school years, Bobby joined the U.S.
Army where he served for over 2 years. Bobby was an avid University of
Oklahoma fan and was a proud supporter of Tahlequah Sequoyah School
activities. He was a longtime member at Big Cussetah Methodist Church.
Bobby is preceded in death by his mother, Pearline Day; two brothers, Henry Jennings (Seq. 8th Grd '64) and Tommy Curran; and his grandparents.
He is survived by two daughters, Vicky Jennings of Glenpool and Deann
Baker and husband Cleve Baker of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a son, Kirby
Jennings and wife Martha of Okmulgee; three brothers, Danny Day and
wife Rita of Owasso, James Jennings (Seq.Cls'67) and wife Joyce Hardridge (Seq.Cls'67)
of Okmulgee, and Kenny Dean Jennings and wife Louise of Pharaoh; two
sisters, Jean LeGrand of Okmulgee, and Lou Jennings of Oklahoma City;
three grandchildren, Isaac Jennings of Okmulgee, Kindred Baker of Ft.
Lauderdale, FL, and Kyra Jennings of Okmulgee; as well as numerous
nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family; and many good
friends.
A Wake Service will be held at Integrity Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon in
Henryetta on Friday, July 26 from 6pm to 8pm. A reception will follow
the wake service at Dewar Community Center.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2:00pm at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Gil Dean Hooper (Seq.Cls'69)
officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Robertson Family
Cemetery, near Dustin, under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service
of Henryetta.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Calico (Seq.Cls'67) , Phillip Logan (Seq.Cls'69)
, Matt LeGrand, Cleve Baker, Chad Jennings, and Kenny Dean Jennings.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike LeGrand, Isaac Jennings, Jerry
Watashe, Jacob Narcomey, A.D. Ellis, and David Nichols.
