Betty  Gene  Goodner

Betty Gene Goodner Funeral services were 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005 in the Becker Funeral Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rodney Campbell and Daryl Perry officiating.

Mrs. Goodner died Friday, April 29, 2005 in Lawton. Burial was in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

She was born December 21, 1934 in McIntosh County, Oklahoma to Leonard Fivekiller and Lona Potter Fivekiller. She grew up in Porum, Oklahoma and graduated from Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She married William Wayne Goodner on December 2, 1951 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Following her marriage she lived at various military posts around the world. She was a life member of VFW Post 5263 Ladies Auxiliary, had held various offices in PTA, was a homemaker and a master seamstress.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters and sons in law, Peggy Sue and David Hall, Indiahoma, Oklahoma, and Norma and Billy Bowen, Fletcher, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters in law, Richard and Peggy Goodner, Elgin, Oklahoma, and Frank and Jan Goodner, Lawton; her mother, Lona Harper, Briartown, Oklahoma; six sisters, Marjorie Goin, Warner, Oklahoma, Ruth Goodner, Porum, Oklahoma, Susie Stout, Vian, Oklahoma, and Erma Sexton, Avo Fivekiller and Kaye Hughes, all of Briartown; a brother, Bert Shoemake, Corvallis, Oregon; ten grandchildren, Jennefer Cone', Heather Daniels, Melissa Meni, Justin Hernandez, Dustin Goodner, Joshua Hall, Monica Hernandez, Jennifer Kowalke, Heather Ulmer and Jason Hall; eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Her father preceded her in death.
