Robert  "Bob"  Foster


Services for  Robert 'Bob' Foster , 64, of Oklahoma City will be Saturday, April 9, 2005, 10 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, with Reverend Leon Postoak officiating. Prayer service will be Friday, April 8, 7 p.m. at Central Baptist Church.

      Mr. Foster was born July 23, 1940 in Seminole to Etta Stewart and Aaron Foster and was called home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2005. He was preceded in death by both parents; brother Andrew Foster (1950s), sisters Millie Foster Ned (1950s) and Mary Coley.

      He was married to Naomi Horner on December 14, 2002 at Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed life every day and even through his suffering gave God the praise for everything. He was a graduate and proud alumnus of  Sequoyah Indian School , Class of 1958,in Tahlequah.

      He was a member of the 45th Division National Guard. He worked for Harris Packing for 15 years, and other companies that kept him on the road where he enjoyed meeting people. Bob had a sense of humor that crossed boundaries, that made you feel a part of him, and he of you. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church who loved to sing in the church choir.

      Survivors include his wife, Naomi; 5 sons: Ryan & wife Joyce, Kenneth, Derek & wife Dena, all of Oklahoma City, Strongbow Pewenofkit & wife Alicia of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jeff & wife Sallena of Anadarko; 2 daughers: Deborah Sutton & husband Richie of Midwest City and Crystal Thompson & husband Custis of Clinton; stepsons Donald Horner & wife Sharla, Daniel & wife Crysta, all of Oklahoma City; Stepmother Emma Foster of Shawnee; brother Henry Foster (1950s) of Oklahoma City; 2 sisters, Ramona Foster Sam  (Cls'57) of Oklahoma City and Christine Woods of Shawnee; his beloved 28 grandchildren, nephews and nieces, cousins and many loving friends.

     Burial will be in the Goat Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
