Corine Cooper was born September 6, 1903 in Krebs, Indian Territory to Charles and Ada Hunter Cooper. She passed away in McAlester. (Age & date of passing unknown)
She was a lifetime resident of Hartshorne and graduated from North Eastern State University with a teaching degree in elementary education. She had taught school at Hartshorne, Jones Academy, Krebs, Sequoyah Indian School of Tahlequah, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Seneca Indian School in Wyandotte, until retirement.
She was an original enrollee of the Choctaw tribe. She was a member of First Baptist Church and WMU Golden Circle, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No.180 and Retired Teacher Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, one nephew and two great-nephews.
Survivors include her two special nieces, Betty War and Margaret Thompson, both of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; 16 other nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and great-nephews and 26 great great nieces and great great nephews.
