Just wanted to let you know about the death of another Sequoyah student, Maria Coachman. Maria attended Sequoyah this past school year (2003-04). I'm not sure what grade she was in (completed 11th grade) . She was 17 years old and from Tulsa, Okla.

She was killed in a motor vehicle accident this past Thursday night, July 1st. 2004.

Her mother didn't attend Sequoyah, but her uncle James Coachman  (Seq.Cls '68) and his wife, the former Brenda Nelson  (Seq.Cls '67) attended Sequoyah High School.
Her cousin was driving the car and the word is that alcohol was involved. I just hope that these kids will learn something from the death of such a young person.
