Funeral services for Kenny (Kenneth) Lewis Cheek , (Seq. student 1950s) will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Montesoma Baptist Church northeast of Okemah. Interment will follow at the Montesoma Cemetery. Wake services be held Monday, June 17, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Montesoma Baptist Church.
Kenny Lewis Cheek was born July 15, 1946 in Claremore, Oklahoma to John H. Cheek and Lorene (Davis) Cheek. He passed away, Thursday, June 23, 2011 at his home in Broken Arrow at the age of 64. Kenny graduated from Weaver High School in 1965 and was currently a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was a retired mechanic and a talented guitarist. Music and playing guitar were his passions.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Cheek and one brother, Jerry Cheek. He is survived by his father, John H. Cheek of Cromwell; his significant other, Shriley Henson of Broken Arrow; one son, Ty Henson Cheek of Broken Arrow; one daughter, Sara Cheek of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Andy (Anderson) Cheek (Seq. grd sch. std. 1950s) and wife Doreen of Glenn Heights, Texas and John Cheek and wife Jackie of Arlington, Virginia; one half brother, Johnny Joe King (Seq. Soph ‘58) and wife Naomi of Cookson, Oklahoma; and one sister, Mary Jane Cheek Garcia (Seq. 8th grd ‘58) of Dallas, Texas. Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Rev. Jay Downing.
