![]() She attended and graduated with the Class of 1990 from Sequoyah High School where she made lifelong friends. She then attended the University of Oklahoma, but returned to Tahlequah during her last Semester and graduated from Northeastern State University where she was awarded her chemistry degree. She was one of five Native American students in the US to get a scholarship from American Indian Science and Engineering Society. Kristi will be greatly missed by her family and friends who enjoyed her vibrant personality, sense of humor and loyal friendships. She succumbed to cancer, which progressed very quickly. Kristi is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Cain and uncle Carl Ross (Seq. Soph.1968). She is survived by her husband, Roger Kinkade of the home; two sons Nicklos and Trace of the home; and mother Florene Batt Cain (Seq. Junior 1962 & Seq. Counselor 1988-1991) of Tahlequah; brother Roger Cain (Seq.teacher 1988-90 & 1997); aunts: Merry Ross Loman (Seq.Class of 1969), Maxine Pumpkin Wilson (Seq.Class of 1971 & Seq.Counselor 1991); many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and other relatives.
