Houston Henry Byington , 61, of Kinta, Oklahoma passed away on May 14, 1995 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on February 25, 1934 to Henry and Susie (Terrell) Byington in McCurtain.
He was raised in the Sans Bois area, where he attended school until going to Sequoyah Indian School in Tahlequah.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was married to Wanda Wade on March 15, 1963 at Sans bois. He had worked as a welder in Dallas and Tulsa until retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Wilburton.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda M. (Wade) Byington of McAlester, three daughters, Wynoka Byington and Tawanna Byington of Heavener and Wynona Medrano of McAlester; two sons, Houston Byington and wife, Lana and Henry Byington and wife, Lisa, all of McAlester; three sistesr, Delia Tom of Keota, Edith Franklin of Oklahoma City and Katherine Mayhall of Stigler and seven grandchildren.
