Terry Wayne & Juanita Hill BARNETT


OKEMAH - Double funerals were held for JJuanita Kay Hill BARNETT and her husband Terry Wayne BARNETT, who died August 20, 1999, near Bristow. Wake services were held August 24, 1999, at Little Quarsarty Baptist Church with Rev. Fred LINDSEY and Rev. Mark SMITH officiating. Wake services were held August 22 at Schumacher Funeral Home Chapel and August 23 at Little Quarsarty church. The couple were married on January 17, 1986, in Slick, OK. Both had been employed at Kwikset in Bristow. 

Interment was at Simmer and Hill Cemetery.

     Juanita Kay Hill BARNETT was born October 9, 1958. She died with her husband August 20, 1999, near Bristow. She lived in Okfuskee County at Okemah all her life. She was the daughter of Toney Elijah and Irene Simmers HILL, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by a brother. She is survived by six brothers, Billy HILL and Stoney HILL, Jr., both of Okemah, Toby HILL and Dewey HILL, both of Lamar, Louie HILL of Wewoka, and J. D. HILL of Tulsa; four sisters, Emma JONES of Slick, Millie HILL and Wanda HILL, both of Okemah, and Christine HILL of Bowlegs; and many relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Joe JACKSON, Mose LINDSEY, Robert COFFEE, Mike CONE, Mike HICKS, and J. D. HARLEY.

     Terry Wayne BARNETT was born December 12, 1956, in Talihina, OK. He died with his wife August 20, 1999, near Bristow. He attended Sequoyah High School and had lived in Creek and Okfuskee counties most of his life. He was the son of William BARNETT of Hugo, who survives, and Pauline WESLEY, deceased. He is survived by two sons, David BARNETT and Travis BARNETT; three daughters, Wenona BARNETT, Tara BARNETT and Brenna BARNETT, all of Ponca City; one brother, Calvin BARNETT of Bristow; five sisters, Carol PROCTOR of Bristow, Calett MORRIS of Colorado, Wilma BARNETT, Cecilia BARNETT, and Anora BARNETT; six grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Roger BARNETT, Clifford BARNETT, Jake BARNETT, Jr., Thomas BARNETT, Tyrone BARNETT, and Raymond BARNETT.
