Quanah  Jean  Baker  Williston

   Quanah Jean Baker Williston , 56, passed away on Thursday February 8th, 2007 in Plano Texas.  Services were Feb.12th in the Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo Okla. Interment followed in the Springs Chapel Cemetery, Hugo, Okla.

     Quanah was born December 17, 1950 in Hugo, Okla, the daughter of George Dukes Baker and Betty M. (Charles) Baker and lived in the Hugo area most of her life. She and her sister Patricia Baker attended  Sequoyah High School  in Tahlequah, Okla. from the fall of 1966 to graduation with the Class of 1970.

 Quanah was a homemaker and member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She loved being with her family, cookouts, watching football and softball.

She was preceded in death by her father (2001 at 78 yrs) and husband, Jimmy Williston who passed on in 1973.

SURVIVING RELATIVES:  her mother, Betty Baker of Hugo, 2 sons: Jim Williston Jr., and Dustin Williston and his wife Sonja both of Hugo; 2 grandchildren: Alison and Devin Williston; 3 sisters:  Patricia Ann Baker (Seq. Cls '70)Vivian Baker (Seq.- 1970), and Tammye Baker all of Hugo; 1 brother: Michael Baker of Hugo; 1 nephew: Jason Baker and his wife Stephanie along with their daughter Hayden Grace; 1 niece: Courtney Baker; 3 aunts: Gladys Wood of Hugo, Lucille Olive of Bennington, and Norma Aunko of Tulsa; 2 uncles: William Charles and Pete Noah, Jr.; several cousins: Natalie Wood, Debbie Raper, Robin Taylor, Dorothy Potts, Julia Durrence, Jan Bridges, Floyd Olive, Charles Olive, and Judy Olive along with a host of other family and friends.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday February 11, 2007 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM in the funeral home.

SERVICES: Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel - Hugo Okla., Monday February 12, 2007 at 2:00 PM.
