TAHLEQUAH, Ok  -- Adolphus Ray Vann  (Seq. 6th grade in '47 to early 1950s), 73, died Thur. Nov 22, 2007.   A wake was held Tuesday evening. ~ Graveside services were Nov. 28th at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson OK.

TAHLEQUAH, Ok.  --    Katie  Towie  Wacoche   (Seq. student 1930s)  , 89, passed from this life on Oct. 7, 2007 at her residence in Cherokee County.    Services were Wed. Oct. 10, in the Cedar Tree Tabernacle.  Interment followed in the Towie Cemetery.

TULSA, Ok.  --    Levi  Paul  Patty(Seq. Grd-school 1950s)  , 69, house painter, died Oct. 3rd, 2007. Rosary was Oct 10th at Moore's Memory Funeral Home Chapel, and graveside services were Oct. 11th in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson.

TAHLEQUAH, Ok.  --    Herman  Buck  Ballew(Seq. 1965-80)  , 90, Sequoyah High School educator, died Tues. Oct 3, 2007. Services were Friday, Oct. 5, at Reed-Culver Chapel in Tahlequah. Burial followed at Tahlequah City Cemetery.

Tahlequah, Ok.  --    Dollie  Mae  Pettit(Seq. Class of 1972) , 54, died Mon., Sept. 17, 2007, in Tulsa. Services were held Sept. 20 at the House of Praise in Marble City with Rev. Joe Grayson officiating.

FORNEY TX.  --    Dianne  Lehman  Berrett  , 65, daughter of 1940s-50s Sequoyah teacher, L.L. Lehman, passed away September 13, 2007 after a three-year battle with leukemia.

CHEROKEE, NC.  --    Soldier  E.  Sanders(Seq. Class of 1938)  , 88, who attended Sequoyah Orphan Training School in the 1930s and a cook/baker at Sequoyah in the 1950s, passed away Wed. Aug. 15th, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center in Asheville, NC.

McALESTER, Ok.  --    Lucinda  Scuggins  Wilson(Seq. Class of 1938) , 90, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. A celebration of her life was held Mon. Aug 6th, at the Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ in McAlester, with Bill Banks officiating.

PARK HILL, Ok.  -- Callie  J.  Hooper, 76, Talking Leaves and Sequoyah Indian School housemother, died Tuesday, July 26, 2007. Services were Friday at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel, Tahlequah. 

MUSTANG, Ok.  --    Clarence  Yahola  (Seq. Jr. '69)  , 56, died Monday, July 23, 2007.  Services were Thursday the 26th. ~ Mc Neil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang Ok.

MUSKOGEE, Ok.  --    Ella   Marcell   McDaniel  , 79, who attended Sequoyah Orphan Training School in the 1930s, passed away Saturday June 30, 2007. Services were July 5th, at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Muskogee.

TAHLEQUAH, Ok.  --    Iris   Louise   Deerinwater   Leep  , 69, who attended both Seneca Indian School and Sequoyah Training School in the 1950s, passed away Monday June 26th, 2007. Services were Thursday in the Swimmer Baptist Church, Hulbert, Okla.

SAPULPA, OK.  --    Jeanetta  E.  Lee   Johnson    (Seq. Stud. 1968), 59, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at her home in Sapulpa; services were Fri., June 8.

MIAMI, Ok.  --    Joyce  Whitecrow  Perry  , 73, Sequoyah student in the 1950s, passed away in her home in Miami, Okla. on May 25, 2007.

McALESTER, Ok.  --    Lois  Pugh   , 95, retired Sequoyah dorm matron, (1955-1979) , died Wednesday evening May 9th, 2007.   Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 12th. ~ Memorial Park Cemetery, Heavener, Ok.

BIXBY, OK.  --    Eugene  E.  Freeman      (Seq. Stud. mid-1950s)  , 67, passed away on Monday April 21, 2007. Services were Apr. 27th followed by burial in the Snake Creek Indian Baptist Church Cemetery. 

ARDMORE, Ok.  --    Ramond  Pope     (Seq. Cls of  1950)  , 80, died Thursday April 12, 2007 . Services were Monday April 16th at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Chapel with Leslie Gibson officiating. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.

STILWELL, Ok.  --    Edwina  Sue  Henry  Crowder      (Seq. Cls of  1961)  , 63, passed away after a long illness on Saturday April 7th, 2007. Services were Tuesday April 10th followed by burial in the Stilwell city cemetery.

HUGO, Ok.  --    Quanah  Jean  Baker  Williston     (Seq. Cls of  1970)  , 56, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007. Services were Feb. 12th in Hugo, OK.

SEATAC, Wash.  --    Zeke  McConnell   (Seq. Cls of  1938)  , 88, passed peacefully from heart failure on Feb. 4th 2007. He is survived by his wife, Mae (Chick) McConnell, 2 daughters and 3 sons. Memorial services were Sat, March 3rd.

SAPALPA, Ok.  --  Evans "Chili" Bill Spencer     (Seq. Cls of  1964)  , departed this earth on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, to be with his creator and join his dearly departed wife of 29 years, Lou Watashe(Seq. 1960s), who made the journey  just one month ago.
